Miss Brittney Klarissa Garcia - Owner, Director, & Head Instructor
Miss Brittney has been dancing for many years! She likes to tell people that she came out the womb turning and leaping. She was in and out of studios from the age of 3, up until she tried out for her middle school cheerleading team in 2008. Brittney was 1 out of 16 girls who were chosen out of 40 girls for the team. She continued with cheerleading for the three years she was in middle school, but also joining a competitive all-star team. Both teams that Brittney was a part of won numerous competitions across the west-coast. After a victory in Anaheim, California, Miss Brittney’s cheerleading days came to an end when she tore both of her ACL’s and Meniscuses.
She then found herself back into a dance studio and trying out for her High School Varsity Dance team, which she made as a Freshmen in 2011. Serving as a member of The Jaguar Gold Dance Team for a year, Brittney soon realized that all-stars was where her heart was set. Competing as a soloist across the west-coast for two years, she knew it was time to hang up her jazz shoes and share her passion with others.
The love and dedication for dance didn’t stop there, she dusted off her jazz shoes in the winter of 2016. Brittney found herself dancing for the Albuquerque’s Duke City Gladiators Professional Indoor Football team.
Coaching since the age of 16 she built relationships, lead by example, became a role model and mentor for young ladies all over Albuquerque. Brittney founded the Dancing Stars Dance Studio in July of 2016. She wanted to bring dance to the South Valley, share her passion with others, and build a generation of not only great dancers but amazing young ladies and men.
Brittney’s motto is, “You don’t stop dancing because you grow old, you grow old because you stop dancing.” Brittney uses dance in her everyday life, and she wouldn’t have it any other way. This is something that she hopes to teach her current students and students to come.
