Details
We organize a full week festival with films, music, food, exhibits and lectures, highlighting the extraordinary journey of the Jewish people of Spanish speaking countries from May 16th through May 23rd.

The Instituto Cervantes of Albuquerque in collaboration with the Casa Sefarad, Festival Djudeo-Espanyol and the National Hispanic Cultural Center organize a "Resilience Festival" to commemorate the experiences of Jewish communities in Spain and the Americas.

During the Festival Resiliencia, we focus on New Mexico´s Jewish community. We offer several fascinating art exhibits and lectures about women in the crypto-Jewish community in New Mexico, as well as a lecture with a Jewish genealogist about DNA and New Mexico.

Another exciting event will be the round table with Fernando Vara de Rey, director of the Instituto Cervantes in Krakow, Poland and Luis Portero, lawyer from Málaga, Spain, about the relationship with the State of Israel and the efforts of the Instituto Cervantes and the Spanish Government to promote and preserve the Jewish culture.

Other events include concerts with a Sephardic repertoire, intriguing movies and much more!

Tickets are available at the National Hispanic Cultural Center Box Office. Please call 505-724-4771 or visit the following website www.nhccnm.org.
