Event Description
The 21st Annual Chile Festival to benefit Greater Albuquerque Habitat for Humanity
is coming August 25 - 26, 2018 to Shepherd of the Valley Presbyterian Church, 1801 Montaño Rd. NW
(Montaño Rd. near Rio Grande Blvd.). This popular yearly community gathering offers visitors great
entertainment, 80 vendors offering arts and crafts, hot roasted chile, food sellers, and a daily silent
auction. Other features are community partners such as Watermelon Mountain Ranch, Animal Humane
New Mexico, and Wildlife Rescue New Mexico.
Annual festival favorites are the plant sale, book sale and bake sale. People come early to make sure they get their favorite pie or have first shot at this year's plants. The event also includes local music groups, food vendors and a children's play area with bouncers, bubbles, and games. General Admission is FREE.

The Chile Festival has raised nearly $210,000 over its 20-year history. The 2018 Chile Festival will
support construction of Unity House #3, a joint project of Albuquerque’s faith-based community located in
Habitat’s 22-home Mesa del Rio neighborhood.
General Admission is FREE. Parking is FREE
